About me
I’m Hugh Wallace. I started regularly publishing a newsletter in 2023, and this site is now its home. I tend to write about the things that interest me: a mix of technology, culture and music, sometimes from a Scottish viewpoint. You can find out more in this post.
I’ve worked in the area of digital design and development for longer than it's possible to imagine, with roles at organisations such as Oxfam, National Museums Scotland, and Scottish Government. My current job is Chief Information Officer at Research Data Scotland.
Although much of my work has been ‘client side’ I also headed up the design function for a web agency in the late 1990s, and I’ve undertaken various freelance design and social media consultancy gigs.
